Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about our services, installation, contracts, support, and coverage.

What does Cytranet do?

Cytranet is a business-only telecommunications carrier that provides fiber internet, cloud voice, managed Wi-Fi, colocation, and managed IT services. We serve businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies from our Las Vegas headquarters and can deliver service in all 50 states.

Where is Cytranet located, and what areas do you serve?

Cytranet is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, with an office in Los Angeles, California. We serve customers in all 50 states, and our carrier network reaches 47 countries.

How long does it take to get services installed?

Many services can be up and running as soon as the next business day, depending on your location and the service requested. Cloud voice can be set up within 48 hours, and dedicated fiber projects follow a timeline we share during design.

Do you require contracts?

Yes. Cytranet offers 3- to 5-year contract terms, which let us provide consistent service and the best possible pricing for your business.

How does phone number porting work?

We manage the entire porting process for you, working directly with your existing carrier to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted transition. You fill out our number porting form, and we handle the rest.

What kind of support does Cytranet offer?

Our U.S.-based support team is available by phone and email 24/7/365. You can call 800-845-1010 any time, day or night.

Does Cytranet serve residential customers?

Cytranet does not serve individual residential customers. We do provide bulk billing arrangements for multi-dwelling residential complexes, such as apartment and condominium communities, so property owners can offer internet and related services to every unit.

Does Cytranet work with government agencies?

Yes. Cytranet is registered in SAM.gov and holds awarded contracts with the Department of the Air Force and the Department of the Army. We also build fiber and connectivity for city and county governments, school districts, and public safety agencies.

What internet speeds does Cytranet offer?

Cytranet delivers business internet at speeds from 1.5 Mbps to 40 Gbps, including dedicated, symmetrical fiber. Fixed wireless, microwave, and satellite options are available where fiber has not yet been built.

What is included with Cytranet phone service?

Our cloud phone service and hosted PBX include more than 100 features, such as call recording, voicemail-to-email, auto attendants, and mobile extensions on iPhone and Android. Plans include unlimited local and long-distance calling, and built-in failover call routing keeps calls flowing during an outage.

How is Cytranet voice service priced?

Voice plans include unlimited local and long-distance calling at one monthly rate. Cytranet quotes voice on how many calls you run at the same time, so you pay for the calling capacity you use and not for every seat.

What happens to my internet if a fiber line is cut?

We can design a backup path over fixed wireless, microwave, or satellite that keeps you online if your primary circuit is cut. Cloud voice also includes failover call routing.

How reliable is the Cytranet network?

Our cloud services run on a redundant, fault-tolerant network with 99.99% reliability, and all services are monitored and supported 24 hours a day.

Can Cytranet serve all of our locations?

Yes. Cytranet can deliver service in all 50 states and connects offices, warehouses, and data centers over private data transport, with one contract, one bill, and one support number.

What is the free technology evaluation?

It is the first step for every new customer. We review your current services, bills, locations, and difficulties at no cost, and then recommend the right mix of services in one clear proposal.

How do existing customers open a support request?

Call or text 702-846-5000, call our 24/7 support line at 800-845-1010, email info@cytranet.com, or use the Cytranet Client Portal, where service requests are opened and tracked.
